When starting the course I didn't have expectation minus the obvious to learn something new in a class that is to be expected While my main reason for not having high exception of 1301 Freshman Seminar in Media Literacy & Digital Citizenship, due to the fact we found these classes were recently added this semester. So could say that our class was test run in many ways it enabled them having to learn many new thing their self while having to teach the course.

Way to improve the course for future students, while this was very unexpected is wish had proper class that would've cater more our needs for the course. Kind of like how you told us that next semester students' class has computers in a circle. This helps with the communication within the group to ensure things are more organized and getting to know the people. Other than that I don't have much negative stuff/improvements just because I see it as very unfair. Just knowing once again that these are newly added course I'm lighter to pass judgement most problems that need to be fix are very minor easy problems to deal with. Lastly the one major positive thing I'm taking away from the course. When we were taught how to use the resources at our University of Houston-Downtown, mainly in our database having to find academic journals to use through the course. You give us the knowledge to be successful in college.

Coca-Cola a major soft drinks company founded in the United States and international company. The company was founded in 1886 located in the Atlanta, Georgia often times the drink is referred to as Coke registered trademark.  In order for companies like Coca-Cola Company stay alive in the new era of social media. In order to push out the company idea in our current times we they use many different kinds sources from Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest,  and Instagram to push out the idea why you should buy their products. Going more in debt into the importance of the social media tools is that they are always promoting different flavors, doing a worldwide company and by adding a slogan to ‘share with a friend’. Now recently in every Coca-Cola bottle they have names in the back and basically it is saying to share it with that person. This also has a more significant meaning than just that but they're making it a fun way to really sell their product. Throughout Coca-Cola's history they have been using media to get their product out there. Wendy Clary who is the Vice President of Integrated Marketing Communications and Capabilities is in charge of the advertising on social media. The use of social media in the Coca-Cola company has used advertising tools such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and Flickr to appeal to a variety of people around the globe. Certain posts will be directed to a certain country that may host big event such as the world cup. The company can post an advertisement or commercial on Facebook and someone will end up sharing the video getting Cokes name out there. On Twitter Coke can create a hashtag which will show an event or deal that they made if someone were to click on it and then a list of all the other photos that the hashtag was used for will pop up.This will be mostly recommended to anyone that really is a fan of soda. The social media SWOT for Coca-Cola is that it is a really strong company that has been there for over 100 years that knows how to make the users proud and satisfied. A weakness for this company would be that not all of their drinks are as healthy as they should be. The opportunities it offers basically are scholarships for students at anytype of universities and as well they are some threats ,because every company has people that are just against it and they get sewed.

Progress Report 2

Throughout this following weeks we made a lot more agreements towards what we where going to use. We chose Google Slides for the beginning of the project so that we could all throw in their all our information. One thing we considered was making a Prezi presentation once the Google Slides is done the reason behind this is so that it looks more professional. The roles haven't changed much but Justin will be designing the presentation , and Chris and I will be looking for research over what to put in the presentation. We found some research over Media Literacy in which it shows the positive side and the negative side out of it. What I mean is that their is a good side about a boss looking into an employees media and then their is some negative about this. In the presentation we will be mentioning whether it is a more beneficial or not to check the employees media. One of the sources I used is called "What Do Human Managers Think About the Employee's Internet Usage?". This source is really important because it shows recent examples over where this has occurred and how it has affected them. The second source that we use is <http://www.huffingtonpost.com/amanda-augustine/how-social-media-privacy-_b_4174008.html> In which it just relates to how the media has affected college students and stuff like that.

Abstract: This study examined the use of social media at work. Undergraduate students and professors were surveyed about their use of sites such as Facebook while working. We also examined the effects of Facebook postings outside of work could jeopardize a position at work. The results from our survey and research concluded that social media is an increasing problem but that there is a growing expectation that monitoring of social media communications by employees will occur.

Currently one of the first academic I've found and currently looking another one to most likely looking at the benefits from employers. Being able to see the stuff that their potential workers for in the future.

They've found a new to track down their own customers through the use of using cookies. Cookies are something used while you're browser the web it helps for it quickly load the pages by keeping in it memory the website. This was done to track giving them ability to do certain type of adverisments aimmed at you. Remember their always someone watching what you're doing it seems that we lose more our private life each day.

The Truth About Teenagers, The Internet, And Privacy 

Now in the above article  it isn't necessarily going over the bad like we typically see from the media. Instead it's going over the extent that my feel generation don't mind the personal information that going out there already we've embraced in a way unlike our parents and elders. Example of this is us giving personal infromation to a certain brand to get benefits we'll enjoy.

Jeffrey Paul while using his Mac notice after that some of his personal information and files had been stored to the cloud obviously this angered him as it was done with out his apporval. 

Blog Assignment 6: Privacy

My Facebook settings are pretty restrictive of what information reaches out to the public eye. Furthermore for an example of what I do. I've added the restriction that my time can't get search by other search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Currently the only people that can read my post are my friends of mine and nothing more. In the past I've even went further to keep certain things off of my page. As an example from my Facebook this was before I knew this girl on face who post inappropriate a lot. I personally got tired of see it as it went on my timeline sometimes. I just remove it, I've also been tagged in something before which was silly high school drama when giving advice to a friend. Next I have my twitter which I don't really use that much bu when I do it only to get techonolgy news and others information My rectractions there you are nothing really as I really don't use that media as souce to post stuff. I've also created Google Drive with all those documents on you'll need special link to documents. I've also created a photobucket which privacy arn't very restrictive, but I'm going change that soon by making the photobucket album there private for not any random person can see the image or even future jobs can easily find it.

Blackberry the phone to have before the gaming change iphone. Who now struggling stay relevant and doing everything to stay alive. Currently, you're most likely reading from Windows supported device created by the company Microsoft in more recent times. It seems as if the company is starting fall behind and started doing other things many people didn't know about where company was going. The MBTI Test

Recently, I had the chance to the MBTI. What the MBTI test for is to find your personality and how you personally operate by asking random question to get understanding of yourself. So, I ask myself do I agree with my results Introvert 33%  Intuitive 100%   Thinking 62%  Judging 33%, and I'll have agree with the results I received.
So if you personally know me you'll notice I'm quite person, who prefers to keep to his self. Try not to confuse this with being anti-social. So, while in high school I may not have done the best job I could've done, due to mainly of the fact that I'll daydream in the middle of class. Thinking about my future, our current state of  the global community that we live in, and lastly what can I do to change the way of some people life forever. My goal is to one to start a non-profit organization to help people in need as mentorship to guide the person a righteous pathway. I'm introvert someone who takes the thinks stuff in their minds.

-Article: The article "Supporting the Students of the Future" by Diego Navarro helps describe a non-profit organization. That helps unprepared college to be ready for the challenges ahead of them and to help. To help low-income students who've struggled in high school.

It's very broad database that doesn't just go over the computer part and software. It goes even deeper to the effect it has on our life, and the role it plays in our culture.

While going over the gender role of working in the region as female or male, acceptance of technology.

Connect the World

Our world has intertwined itself with the introduction of global world being linked to one another the accessibility of the world wide web a major game changer. No longer would it take a while to recover information that needed, now it's just a click away. An example is the use of the University of Houston-Downtown library having  a database of many articles, books within the library, simplifying the search for needed resources, and lastly uses social media to help and get information out there. Many access points for getting information for the student twitter, chat online, text messaging service, and the old fashion calling someone on the phone.  The database search engine works like google search engine, but the huge difference you can easily pull up the needed information by typing the key words for whatever you're looking for. 

Classical Music

One of my favorite types of genre classical music is a dying art, which really does suck as it's been such huge influence on people's life through human. From our caveman just beating a beat on anything that could make sound, and all way up to the roaring 20's the dawn of the glorious jazz music on Harlem Street.
